Training course on PGS – Participatory Governance System

September 28 to September 30, 2019, the Management Board of Supporting Program for Development, Thong Nong Mylai Cooperative cooperated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thong Nong District, Cao Bang Province organized a training course on PGS – Participatory Governance System with the participation of relevant agencies, organizations and people in the organic supply chain, encouraging farmers and consumers in the certification process for Ginger growing groups, groups that are interested in producing organic ginger and turmeric for export in Thong Nong district.

The training course were more than 30 participants from Thong Nong Mylai Cooperative, members of ginger growing groups and households who are directly producing organic turmeric for export in Thong Nong district. The course lasted for 3 days with the content: What is organic? Why should produce organic production; the benefits of organic agriculture; principles in organic agriculture production; monitoring - a participatory governance system (PGS); organic agricultural standards; Organic agricultural production process. Also, the course arranged a session for participants to go on a field trip at ginger and turmeric fields that are being produced organically.

Ms. Nong Thi Hien (36 years old), an organic ginger farmer in Ban Gie hamlet, Luong Thong commune, said: “I feel that agricultural production during the current direction will destroy the ecological environment and affect human health. Therefore, our family participated in the organic production chain and I also mobilized people to participate in organic agriculture production.”

Từ ngày 28/09 – 30/09/2019, Ban quản lý chương trình hỗ trợ phát triển, Hợp tác xã Thông Nông Mylai kết hợp với Phòng NN&PTNT huyện Thông Nông, tỉnh Cao Bằng tổ chức khóa tập huấn về PGS – Hệ thống có sự tham gia của các cơ quan, tổ chức và con người có liên quan trực tiếp vào chuỗi cung cấp hữu cơ, khuyến khích sự tham gia sự trực tiếp của người nông dân và người tiêu dùng vào quá trình cung cấp chứng nhận cho các nhóm trồng gừng, nhóm sở thích đang sản xuất gừng, nghệ hữu cơ xuất khẩu tại huyện Thông Nông.

Tham gia tập huấn có hơn 30 đại biểu đến từ HTX Thông Nông Mylai, thành viên các nhóm trồng gừng và các hộ dân đang trực tiếp sản xuất hữu cơ gừng nghệ xuất khẩu trên địa bàn huyện Thông Nông. Khóa học diễn ra trong 3 ngày với các nội dung : Hữu cơ là gì ? Tại sao phải sản xuất hữu cơ; lợi ích của sản xuất nông nghiệp hữu cơ ; các nguyên tắc trong sản xuất nông nghiệp hữu cơ ; giám sát – hệ thống đảm bảo cùng tham gia (PGS) ; các tiêu chuẩn nông nghiệp hữu cơ ; Tiến trình sản xuất nông nghiệp hữu cơ ; khóa học bố trí một buổi cho các đại biểu đi thực tế tại các ruộng gừng, nghệ đang sản xuất theo phương pháp hữu cơ.

Chị Nông Thị Hiến (36 tuổi) người dân trồng gừng hữu cơ ở xóm Bản Giế, xã Lương Thông chia sẻ : “Tôi cảm thấy sản xuất nông nghiệp theo hướng hiện tại sẽ phá hoại môi trường sinh thái, ảnh hưởng đển sức khỏe con người. Vì vậy, gia đình chúng tôi đã tham gia vào chuỗi sản xuất hữu cơ và tôi cũng vận động mọi người xung quanh tham gia sản xuất nông nghiệp hữu cơ.”
